Plugin for NX (Unigraphics)

The close co-operation with our partner company neoapps enables us to offer an intelligent connection of calculation and CAD for the 3D CAD system NX (Unigraphics). Increase significantly the efficiency in the design and development process.

A test version for a demonstration of the first possibilities is available. Feedback ans suggestions are welcome.

  • It is possible to start all eAssistant calculation modules directly from NX through an integrated menu.
  • Based on the calculation, external and internal spur and helical gears can be generated automatically as a feature-based 3D part in NX.
  • A simple mouse-click allows to add all necessary manufacturing data of a gear wheel to the drawing.
  • Solid and hollow shafts with an unlimited number of cylindrical and conical shaft segments can be generated.
  • The calculation information is saved in the 3D model and is available at any time.
  • Bidirectional working: gears which are calculated with the eAssistant and generated with the plugin in NX as a single part, will be updated after a modified calculation.

Description

By using this plugin, it is possible to start all eAssistant calculation modules directly through the NX menu.

Based on the eAssistant calculation in the module "Cylindrical gear pair", internal and external spur and helical gears can be created automatically as a feature-based 3D part in NX. Addendum chamfer, profile shift modification, tolerances and shaft bore will be considered in the calculation and modelling. The gears include the accurate tooth form.

In order to support an effective design and development process, the calculation data will be saved in the 3D model and are available at any time.

The plugin provides a very fast and comfortable generation of 3D shafts. The geometry of the shaft can be defined very easily by using the eAssistant shaft module. A simple mouse-click starts the automatic generation in 3D. Solid and hollow shafts with an unlimited number of cylindrical and conical shaft segments can be created as a 3D part.
