Optimized Bevel Gear Geometry in eAssistant

The latest versions of the eAssistant bevel gear modules introduce targeted improvements in geometry calculation.

The determination of the undercut limit has been revised, resulting in lower required profile shift coefficients to ensure undercut-free designs.

These enhancements are available for all relevant bevel gear types, including straight and helical bevel gears, spiral bevel gears, and hypoid spiral bevel gears.

In addition, the calculation of tip relief for bevel geometries with non-constant tooth depth has been further refined, enabling a more accurate representation of real geometry conditions.

For Klingelnberg Zyklo-Palloid spiral bevel gears, the geometry calculation has also been revised and improved for cases involving angular modification.

With these updates, eAssistant provides an even more precise and application-oriented basis for the design and analysis of bevel gear systems.
