Description

The calculation module allows for the calculation of force and shrink fits. The calculation includes cylindrical interference fits according to DIN 7190 (only elastic range) with the extension of centrifugal force based on Kollmann (Konstruktion 33 H.6). Additional external loads (radial force and bending moment) can be considered in the calculation. This calculation method is based on Prof. Dr.-Ing. H. Gropp, TU Chemnitz 1997. Further, the calculation with stepped geometry of the hub outer diameter is also supported and based on Prof. Hartmann: Berechnung und Auslegung elastischer Pressverbindungen. The calculation will be carried out with a segmentation of the interference fit length.

The module provides serveral dimensioning functions, for example for the required interference fit length or the joint diameter and the permitted torque or axial force. Furthermore, the module suggests possible tolerances with the help of the tolerance selection function. For the tolerance dimensioning, the desired lowest or highest interference can be entered. All IT classes and tolerance fields according to DIN ISO 286 are supported in the tolerance selection function. Additionally, there is the possibility to restrict the tolerance dimensioning to only preference tolerances. For non-standard or special tolerances, there is an input of user defined tolerances (input of the upper and lower deviation).

Materials and surface quality for the shaft and hub can be comfortably selected from the database. An own or user defined input is also possible for these values. The results are displayed for mean (minimum .. maximum) interference. In case one of the given minimum safety is not fulfilled, the safety will then be marked in red.

For the assembling and disassembling, the results of the mating temperature and of the required forces for pressing in and out are presented in the report. The mating clearance is definable as constant or against the joint diameter. Further, the user can define temperatures and coefficients of friction for the mating individually.

The calculation report is available in HTML and PDF format.
